Fundraising

Action Heart is a registered charity providing rehabilitation for post heart attack and heart surgery patients throughout the West Midlands area. Although Action Heart is well supported by Dudley Primary Care Trusts additional funding is necessary to continue the development of Action Heart's work and its aim to assist an ever increasing number of patients.

Alongside its ‘Running Events’ the Action Heart fundraising team arrange a full calendar of events throughout the year some of which are shown below:-

• The Action Heart Amble (this is a walk which forms part of the well established Dudley Borough Trail). Participants are invited to walk laps of a one-mile route around Himley Park during a two-hour period. Small entry fee payable and many entrants raise sponsorship for the charity.
• The London Marathon – each year Action Heart organises a weekend package , taking runners and spectators down to London for this prestigious event. Whilst it is not a requirement of the ‘package’ for runners to raise sponsorship for Action Heart quite a few do just that, making this event one of our main ‘fundraisers’
• Annual Carol Service – celebration of Christmas with Action Heart at Himley Methodist Church

Trading

Action Heart also holds a range of merchandising items from badges, pens and cuddly toys to adidas t-shirts, sweatshirts and trainers It has its own range of charity Christmas cards which can be personalised as required.
